In my time as a college instructor for undergraduate students, one of their regular questions on writing assignments was “How many words does this writing have to be?” I would always tell them to do not stress about the volume, worry about the quality. When you begin thinking about writing a long essay it is easy to freeze. Who can write well while concerned about reaching an all-time high word count? When you’ve decided on the subject that you want to discuss, you will be amazed at how much you already know. You can write an article that is at least 200-300 words very quickly with practice. The key to this is to consider the reader when you write. For example, if you read an article, do you care if it’s just one hundred words or do you care more you know it has the data you need? It’s all about the information, right? Sometimes, you can provide the content needed in a short amount of words. So write with a focus at the caliber of information offered and not on the word count.

4. Develop a list format

One of the most effective methods of getting an article published is to write in the form of a list. This means, you can create your own list of things you know rather than writing it in paragraph format. This works particularly well for those who aren’t used to writing in an article. You may be more technically adept, working with facts and figures. Find a way to stay within your comfort level in writing words when writing your article. For instance, make the five things you are aware of about the subject you want to write. Under each list, put a few sentences of explanation. Write an introduction and conclusion and you’ll have an introductory article.

5. Create your title and introduction and conclusion
